Taking Self-Care Outside into Nature

Between the cold weather and my commitments, getting enough nature to refill my cup is difficult to prioritize. However, if I want to support my mental health, I have to make energizing choices more frequently!

Here’s how I am making the most of my time spent with Nature:

🌱 Hanging out with plants

💪🏽Challenging my body

🌅 Watching as many sunrises and sunsets as possible

💕Getting outside with people I love

💃🏽And a whole lot of dancing

These might feel challenging because it’s it may not feel productive to take away time from work or important tasks. In the long run, I don’t function as well or stay as present as I’d like to be, if I don’t make time.

Have you noticed any changes in your mood or outlook when you don’t make time for silly things that light you up? Here’s how to keep track:

-Start a journal and choose a time limit that works best for you

-Write down the most energizing things you did that day

-Write down what your outlook feel like for the day

-Every couple weeks, review what you wrote

-What activities did you do on the days where you felt the best? Is there a similar trend for the days you did these activities?
